Becoming Boone launches today!

So… it’s May 5th. Reset Day. If you know, you know. If you don’t—let’s just say this day has some history. And now it’s got a new chapter, because Becoming Boone is officially out.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who read I Never Knew I Needed You. Whether you messaged me, left a review, or just mentioned it in passing like, “Oh yeah, I read your book, it was good,” it meant more than I could ever say. That story had been stuck in my head for years. Letting it go was terrifying. And the kindness you gave it was… well, suspicious, but deeply appreciated.

Now for the new one.

When INKINY came out, I was proud of myself for finally shutting up about “someday” and just getting the story out. But, the truth is, I hated selling it. I hated asking for your time, your energy, your commitment to spend way more than just a few hours in the world of the Huxley kids.

That’s when Nathan Boone showed up, anxious and unsure where he fit. Basically how I feel a lot of days. He wasn’t the character I planned to write. He didn’t fit the outline or the vision I had. But he stuck. And once he was there, everything else I had mapped out stopped making sense.

It became obvious, pretty quickly, that I wasn’t in control of the story that wanted to be told. As I kept going, the vibe totally shifted, and I had to ditch the plan and chase whatever weird, messy plot showed up.

Becoming Boone is out now, available online wherever books are sold. It's also listed in my shop for quick checkout through Amazon.

When you read it, let me know what you think. If you leave a review, I’ll probably pretend I didn’t read it and then obsess over it for three hours. Also, if you haven’t left one for I Never Knew yet, consider this your gentle nudge. It’s a bit of a passive-aggressive guilt trip too, I’m not gonna lie. But mostly, it’s just me saying it would mean a lot.

Thanks for reading! Andy
